Sun sets on the final day of the Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Village – Thank you all! #YOG #Singapore2010
The sun finally sets on the final day of existence of the Singapore Youth Olympic Village. Volunteers and staff still hard at work helping the remaining athletes catch their flights tonight and tomorrow.
We have truly been blessed to have such outstanding people working on this project. Diligent, meticulous and cheerful all the way! I have learnt that Singaporeans (and friends of Singapore) are truly capable of great things. I am more confident and optimistic about our future than I have ever been. Thank you all for the experience of a lifetime.!
Cubs win 4-1. Wonderful victory, Singapore football is on a new trajectory ! #YOG

Isabelle has had a wonderful run in the YOG table tennis competition. Faced China in the final. Went down 4–0 but fought bravely, never giving up even on the last point. Great spirit!
Please support Isabelle Li at the #YOG Table Tennis Finals at 6:30 pm this evening at the Indoor Stadium
Tickets available at the venue.
Our Cubs went down 0-2 to Haiti in the #YOG football semi-final
It just wasn’t our night. Our boys couldn’t get into their usual rhythm. In the first half, and conceded a goal. They came out fighting in the second half, and had several chances, but no luck.
When we conceded a penalty and were reduced to 10 men, it was over. I told the cubs we were all proud of them, and will stand by them. Next match on Wednesday 25 August 2010.
Singapore 3. – Montenegro 2
